ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: Spiritual Hierarchy & Authority, Part 1
This week we will begin a new series dealing with spiritual authority and the hierarchy that exists in the realm of the spirit.
This week we will begin a new series dealing with spiritual authority and the hierarchy that exists in the realm of the spirit.
We are definitely going to run long today as we wrap up this series, so bear with me. Remember what David wrote in Psalm 118? Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.
This has been a long adventure. When the Lord first began to unfold the prophetic significance of the 23rd Psalm and its picture as a lifelong adventure, I had no idea it was going to expand into the study it has become. We've been at this for well over a year. Hopefully, we will wrap this up by the end of next week.
Three weeks ago, we took a break in our discussion of the purposes and objectives that the Lord has for us in walking in these Paths of Righteousness.
Last week I had to stop when we started talking about baptism, and Jesus’ understanding of this. Let me do a bit of a refresher for you on the significance of what was about to take place.
I sort of got ahead of myself last week in sharing the pictures I had started on. During the week, Holy Spirit unfolded an understanding for me of just what Jesus walked, and how He prepared the Paths of Righteousness ahead of us.
Today, let’s see if we can draw a picture of the overall purposes and objectives for the Paths of Righteousness. Let me begin first of all with three illustrations from the Word:
It all started when Holy Spirit spoke three things to me in successive stages: "Simplify." "Consolidate." "Get out of debt."
We left off last week talking about Paul's prayer in Ephesians 1 and that's where we need to pick up again.
Have to share a really cool experience that just happened. I've talked about our youngest son, Joshua, and his battles in the past, as well as the rather humorous event that took place when he asked his children to lay hands on him and pray for his deliverance from a very reactionary and explosive spirit of anger.
