ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: Resurrection From the Dead, Part 5
We left off last week with the event that happened when I was in international banking and the theft that took place of all the commission monies earned by the four of us as participants.

Once again, it is important to recognize that we have been programmed by centuries of wrong thinking and a mindset woven into society that requires us to expect death – never mind the fact that Jesus canceled our appointment with death. What happens is that because of this wrong mindset and thinking permeating God’s people, Jesus gets cheated out of a people – especially a seasoned and mature people who can teach and mentor believers with Jesus’ mindset.
Let’s pick up right where we left off last week. We were talking about the revelation of Resurrection that comes in water baptism. The truth contained in this revelation is nothing short of stunning! In order to get a hold of it, however, we have to be able to shut down all of the pre-conditioning we’ve had throughout many generations.
The whole concept of being raised from the dead and walking and living in Resurrection Life is something that is more theory and mysticism in many parts of the body of Christ than reality. Most Christians still believe that death is a certainty for them and they expect to die.
Today we shift gears to the next phase of this adventure – and this is no less important to our development in Christ than any of the previous stages. Perhaps one of the least understood facets in the way that David expresses himself in the 23rd Psalm, his statement that “My cup runneth over,” uses phraseology that is long lost in modern speech.
We’re going to run long today in an effort to wrap up this portion of our Psalm 23 adventure. We finished up last week talking about David’s expansion of the families of worshipers. Take a look, if you will, at I Chronicles 25.
And another good Friday morning to y’all. Guess I really thought I’d be able to wrap up this discussion on David’s statement, Thou anointest my head with oil, but after seeing notes that I’ve taken with the ongoing, almost daily revelations from Holy Spirit, it is apparent that we are going to be at this for a few more weeks.
We covered Revelation 4:1-13 as we wrapped up last week’s Coffee Break and we need to consider the significance of what John saw and experienced. What’s the first thing John sees? 24 elders seated about the Throne of God. I’ve shared this before but it’s been awhile so let me revisit this picture.
Good Morning! Did you realize that this is going to be the best day of your life thus far? Expect it!
When David wrote and sang what we know as Psalm 119, the green pastures had become a reality to him in a way that we all need.
