ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: David’s Tabernacle Restored, Part 10

Well, I warned you last week that we needed to run down a religious rabbit trail, and that we needed to blow that rabbit trail apart. You see, the problem is that throughout the centuries, God’s people have been caught up in traditions that began with their ancestors – traditions that began before their ancestors had the kind of revelation that Holy Spirit is pouring out on His people today. We need to break those traditions and get out of the religious boxes that we’ve all suffered with for generations.

ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: David’s Tabernacle Restored, Part 9

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. Few people in this age and generation really understand what it is to be joined together by the Lord in a union that is more than physical. People often get married because they “fall in love.” The problem is that in a few months or years, they “fall out of love.” Their relationship really wasn’t based on love but on a physical attraction to one another or because of seeming parallel interests.

ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: David’s Tabernacle Restored, Part 8

We are really taking a different approach today to understanding the Tabernacle of David and the nature or praise and worship. You may even think I’ve gone off the deep end at first, but that’s OK. Bear with me while I lay some foundations.   You will remember how we’ve talked about Lucifer and his original creation as worship leader in Heaven and how he was created to surround the Throne of God with worship. The concept of “surrounding” comes into play with where I want to go today, and why that was so significant.

ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: David’s Tabernacle Restored, Part 7

My remarks at the end of last week’s Coffee Break were, no doubt, very controversial to some folks. I’m not trying to be controversial. After being with David, after experiencing what he experienced, after watching and experiencing all of the adventures that have come over the past 70+ years in the presence of the Lord, I can’t help it. These are honest observations shared in the hope that I can awaken folks to the true nature of praise and worship, prayer and intercession.

ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: David’s Tabernacle Restored, Part 6

The prophecy to the Ekklesia in Philadelphia is one of the most germane prophecies in the Word concerning the Tabernacle of David. What we see in this prophecy is the actual fulfillment of the heart’s desire of the Lord for those who have overcome the Enemy, his tricks, his machinations, the various evil spirits by which he seeks to destroy them – and in reality, destroy God’s objective to have a family like Him.

ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: David’s Tabernacle Restored, Part 4

As you can see from our sharing thus far, things have turned into a real adventure for us. But this has only been a drop in the bucket for what is about to unfold. For the first time in my life, the time I spent with David on my first trip to heaven began to really make sense. I understood the passion he had for worship. I understood the drive in him to establish this simple Tabernacle in order to put the presence of the Lord on display for all of Israel. I understood the real consequences of having that kind of worship and praise as the CenterPoint for a nation.

ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: David’s Tabernacle Restored, Part 3

In the previous two weeks discussion on David’s Tabernacle, we laid out the history of Judah and Israel during the times of the kings who followed the pattern established by David with the three families of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun and the 24 hours of praise and worship that went forth around the tabernacle.

ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: David’s Tabernacle Restored, Part 2

The history of the ministry of the Tabernacle of David in Israel spanned a total of seven kings over several hundred years. In fact, after the division of Israel when Jeroboam came up out of Egypt and took ten of the tribes with him, the Tabernacle of David ceased to exist in what was then referred to as Israel. It only remained among the kings who were of David’s lineage – and then only seven total, including David and Solomon. It was a costly lesson as we shall see as things unfold.

ANOTHER COFFEE BREAK: David’s Tabernacle Restored, Part 1

Over the next few weeks, I’d like to take you to a vision that the Lord gave to me beginning back in the early 1970’s when I was at Long Beach Christian Center. That was only a beginning. In the years that have gone by since, this vision has grown again, and again, and again. Just when I think I’ve gotten to a full understanding of what God was doing, he peels away another layer of revelation.
