A belated Happy New Year and Good Morning to you! Thanks again to those of you who have been faithful readers and subscribers! Today's edition begins our fifth year of publication.
During the past seventy-plus years, I’ve heard everything from good old country gospel music to classical music referred to as “Worship.” Huhh Uhh! Nope! It doesn’t work like that! That doesn’t mean that one can’t worship with country-style music, nor does it mean that one can’t worship with certain classical music. We’ve experienced real worship in the midst of what I would call jazz.
Most of you have heard me share my first experience of being in Heaven and being exposed to the sound of the worship and praise that fills Heaven. I’ve shared with you how every cell of my being vibrated with that worship. It affected my DNA — so much so, that even to this day, some 67 years later, the sound of praise and worship flow through me non-stop.
We are talking about the core of the opposition that has faced those who are committed to real praise and worship, and where that opposition and persecution began. When you understand Satan’s original place in Heaven as Lucifer, the Archangel who surrounded the Throne with praise and worship, and how he was cast out of Heaven after his arrogance and rebellion and effort to overthrow the Throne of God, then you begin to understand why he so hates those who have replaced him with their love, their praise and their worship.
It probably seems to some as though we have really deviated from the topic of David’s Tabernacle and the picture of unabated praise and worship, but I assure you, we have not! The relationship that David experienced with the Lord was an intimate one. It is a strange thing that during all of his years as King of Israel, he wound up marrying so many women in his desire to match the relationship he had with the Lord. Not until he married Bathsheba (under highly controversial and questionable circumstances) did he finally feel like he had a wife in this life with whom he could be One!
We are really taking a different approach today to understanding the Tabernacle of David and the nature or praise and worship. You may even think I’ve gone off the deep end at first, but that’s OK. Bear with me while I lay some foundations. You will remember how we’ve talked about Lucifer and his original creation as worship leader in Heaven and how he was created to surround the Throne of God with worship. The concept of “surrounding” comes into play with where I want to go today, and why that was so significant.
My remarks at the end of last week’s Coffee Break were, no doubt, very controversial to some folks. I’m not trying to be controversial. After being with David, after experiencing what he experienced, after watching and experiencing all of the adventures that have come over the past 70+ years in the presence of the Lord, I can’t help it. These are honest observations shared in the hope that I can awaken folks to the true nature of praise and worship, prayer and intercession.
The prophecy to the Ekklesia in Philadelphia is one of the most germane prophecies in the Word concerning the Tabernacle of David. What we see in this prophecy is the actual fulfillment of the heart’s desire of the Lord for those who have overcome the Enemy, his tricks, his machinations, the various evil spirits by which he seeks to destroy them – and in reality, destroy God’s objective to have a family like Him.
With all of the hype and hoopla concerning the H1N1 "Swine Flu," you'd think the Black Plague had struck the nation and the world. What the fear-mongering media hasn't said or reported is the fact that the numbers of deaths from this flu are actually less than those one might expect in a "normal" flu season. What we have instead is more fear talk and less flu! (chuckle)
Greetings and Salutations! I'd intended to get this Coffee Break out earlier, but here it is the 25th and the date of the expected massive Islamic prayer vigil.
